This alcoholmeter measures the alcohol content of your self-distilled spirits (or other water-alcohol mixtures) and should never be absent during distillation - an ideal little thermometer for your parrot spout and home bar (for example, for checking the alcohol content of mixed drinks). An alcoholmeter is also essential for adjusting the drinking strength of the spirit.
This alcoholmeter does not have an integrated thermometer. The ideal temperature is 20°C. Slight deviations in temperature are not shown. If you want to know the exact alcohol content, we recommend that you use an alcoholmeter with thermometer.
A 100 ml graduated measuring glass can be a very useful item, because you can use it for floating the alcoholmeter in small amounts of alcohol. You need a vinometer for measuring the alcohol content in wine - an alcoholmeter measures the alcohol in spirits.
A perfect all-purpose and parrot spout alcoholmeter for measuring from time to time during distillation.
Please note: This alcoholmeter can only accurately measure the alcohol content in alcohol / water mixtures. For wine you need a vinometer, for measuring freshly prepared mash you need an Oechselmeter. Measuring alcohol containing sugar, for example liqueur, is difficult. We recommend that you calculate the alcohol content for the production of liqueur in order to save yourself the cost of a test still or a special refractometer.
