Traditional alembic still from the CopperGarden forge. The still is available in the 300 liter size with an attractive boiler which is composed of three individual parts riveted together, whereby the bottom of the CopperGarden stills are always made out of significantly thicker material. In order for the parts to be guaranteed as leak-proof, the seam is sealed inside with a mixture of natural material (ground flax straw and linseed oil). After one or two initial cleaning distillations the material has absolutely no odour and the still can also be used for the production of organic alcohol.
All in all, the alembic from the CopperGarden forge is a well-designed still and will serve you well for many years to come, even for commercial use. Since we forge this size only after receiving your order, you can also choose a lead-free tin model as an alternative to the organically sealed version. In addition to the boiler there is an extra wide, almost bell-shaped distillation head with a screwed on swan neck and a large worm condenser with cool water intake and drain.
We can fit the still with a refining lentil as an attachment. With this addition, you can distil a fine brandy in just one run and save yourself the usual double distillation. Moreover, a drain pipe is recommended for better cleaning – another possibility would be to mount an additional wrought iron stand with which you can safely tilt the still.
We suggest the riveted model especially for distillers who like to exhibit their still. The rustic, medieval appearance of this still makes it an eye-catcher which you can proudly display.
Distillation is strictly regulated or even forbidden in some countries. Please inform yourself and pay attention to the regulations in your country. We can ship worldwide, but we cannot check if you are allowed to own a still. Shipping within the EU is completely unrestricted. For shipping to countries outside the EU we have to affix the invoice and shipping list to the outside of the package. Up to now we have never had problems with the importation of our stills into other countries.
