CopperGarden®" Camping & Outdoor Set, 12 pieces | Copper & Wood
We have created this camping and outdoor set for you based on our personal "on the road" experience. It includes 2 perfectly matched copper pans, a copper pot with a lid and all sorts of practical helpers made of wood and cork. This set includes everything that you really need when cooking over fire with our great copper utensils.
Surely you want to know why we recommend this combination to you?
- We are campers ourselves and at the same time value good food. From our experience of motorhomes, caravans and campfires, we know what works well and what goes together!
- Copper is relatively light, heat-resistant (even in the embers), shake-proof in the storage space and can even be rinsed with salt water. It also offers the best thermal conductivity of any metal, so it can quickly take your cooking to whole new levels.
• Best material: Copper gets hot quickly. You save energy on the gas burner or wood stove.
• Temperature control: It also cools down quickly. You can instantly change the temperature of a copper pan simply by moving it over the gas burner or removing it from the fire. This effectively prevents burning. Copper conducts heat incredibly quickly, but hardly stores it.
- The copper pans and pots in this set are tinned by hand with 100 % pure, food grade tin. This allows the copper's heat to pass through unchecked, but prevents it from sticking while protecting the copper as well as your food. Tin is absolutely harmless to health and also tolerates high temperatures. Should the coating no longer be in good condition, it can be easily retinned at any time. A tinned copper pan is a purchase for life!
- The copper components in this set are manufactured in Europe. Right from the start, we attach great importance to fair working conditions, production without animal products and CO2-compensated transport. The materials couldn't be better or more sustainable: copper, tin, wood and cork.
- The most important point last: It all fits together! The lid of the pot also fits on the small pan. Ideal if you want to gently stew or fry in the pan. For example: a tortilla. You can also place the pan directly on the embers for baking with top heat and place charcoal on the lid. They make great little pizzas. The pan has a long handle and is therefore easy to use. The second pan, on the other hand, comes with side handles. This saves storage space and also fits well in small ovens for gratinating. The three devices can also be stacked one inside the other and stored away to save space. So that nothing breaks and you don't burn yourself, the set also comes with large cork plates and also a number of wonderful wooden spoons and spatulas, so you can immediately cook well insulated and scratch-free and then wash it up again.

With a stainless steel core or coating of aluminum, this advantage is lost. The tinning is 100 % harmless because the body simply excretes excess tin again. Nevertheless, the thermal conductivity is retained. If the tinning is unsightly and scratched after regular use, it can be retinned. This keeps the pan usable for a lifetime.</span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom:13px"> </p>
<h1 class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify;">Healthy roasting in a copper pan</h1> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Our tip for a healthy life, long-lasting copper pots and fun in the kitchen: only use good oils and put some in your pan right from the start. A copper pan should not be heated empty.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><b>Important to know</b>: From 232 degrees Celsius the tin coating in the pan could melt. From 250 degrees Celsius, the copper can warp.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">A normal stove top can reach 400 degrees Celsius, a glass ceramic hob 600 degrees Celsius and a gas flame or a fire up to over 1000 degrees Celsius!</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><b>No fear!</b> You will never reach these temperatures with normal cooking and roasting. For baking, please do not exceed 200 degrees Celsius in the oven.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><b>Pay attention to the smoke point</b>. It's simple: if the oil smokes, it's too hot! It will damage your health long before a copper pot suffers.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">From 175 degrees Celsius, roasting and deep-frying becomes unhealthy! Acryline is formed. Even highly heatable oils burn up to 200 degrees Celsius at the latest. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can reach extreme temperatures of over 230 degrees Celsius.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><b>Put your food in the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!</b></span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><strong>Another tip:</strong> You don't need a thermometer to fry. Use a wooden spoon and dip the end into the hot oil. When fine air bubbles come out of the spoon handle, the oil is hot enough for roasting and frying. If it starts smoking, it's way too hot.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><strong>What if it does happen?</strong> If you accidentally heat your copper pot above 232 degrees Celsius, the tin could melt. It is 100 % harmless to health, even if it ends up in food. Your body will simply excrete it. If necessary, copper kitchenware can be retinned.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">If you expose your pan to temperatures above 250 degrees Celsius, it could warp. Not really a problem, but when cooking on an electric hotplate, there could be heat loss due to the warped base.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><strong>Another important thing:</strong> copper transfers all temperatures very quickly. This includes the handle! Please use a potholder or cloth when touching the handle.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">This copper pan is a very high quality cooking appliance. With a little love, the pan will bring you a lot of joy and accompany you for a lifetime.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif""><strong>Copper is a living metal and will change color with use.</strong> You can polish away these traces of life, but we recommend not doing so and letting the pan mature gracefully.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Tin can dull with use. The original silver color changes to a matt grey. Retinning the copper kitchenware is possible at any time if you wish.
