"CopperGarden®" still Arabia, 35L & thermometer

   This hand-forged copper still from the CopperGarden forge consists of three parts: the welded (hard soldered) boiler with a little over 35 liters capacity, along with the wide Arabian head with the sideways descending swan neck, and the integrated collection channel on the generously sized condenser which includes a cooling coil and water intake and drain. The Arabian head of this still is specially and elaborately constructed so that the distillate can partially condense on the head, is then collected and led by an ingenious channel directly into the sideways descending swan neck. It is thus possible to obtain especially strongly flavored distillates. The following is generally true of distilling: the easier it is for the steam to reach the condenser, the more aroma the steam can transport with it from the mash. The Arabia copper still makes it particularly easy for the steam due to the construction of the wide head. The result is very flavourful distillates with low percentages of alcohol. 

   Alcohol is traditionally distilled twice in an Arabian still - a smaller still can also be used for uncomplicated and effortless distillation two to four times and the collected raw spirits then distilled all together into a fine spirit. The Arabia still is also very suitable for distillation of flavored alcohol, as well as for the distillation of herbal distillates and essential oils. With a little talent for improvisation one can even convert the the Arabian copper still for steam distillation - for instance by filling the head with plant material of your choice and using a sieve or a cloth during steaming.

   Because of the size, this Arabia with its 35 liter boiler is almost the perfect home or hobby still for all purposes. Especially those who mash in 25 or 30 liter mash containers have the optimal size for distilling the entire mash in one run. Those who distil twice can work with larger amounts without hesitation and process 60 to 120 liters of mash in one day. Of course, the still is also suitable as an interesting decoration article.
