"CopperGarden®" 24 cm Copper Braising Pan with Handles
This elegant frying and braising pan will surely bring you a lot of joy while cooking, serving, and enjoying your meals. Thanks to copper’s perfect heat conductivity, you can control the temperature extremely precisely, allowing you to fry, steam, simmer, bake, and cook more effectively than with any other metal. You will love it and soon won’t want to use anything else in your kitchen. Copper is, for good reason, the most popular material in fine dining as well as at home.
This pan comes in a heavy-duty design with a high, rolled edge. This makes the pan even more robust and suitable for all uses, especially on gas stoves or in the oven. The pan looks stylish and is also the best pan for any gas flame, for cooking on the grill, in the outdoor kitchen, or for baking in the oven. The evenly applied electroplated coating of pure tin, combined with a bit of oil, provides excellent non-stick properties and protects both the copper and your food.
The pan comes from sustainable EU manufacturing and is a lifetime investment. Whatever you do with the pan, it can always be polished, reshaped, and recoated. Quality reminiscent of a bygone era.

However, copper conducts heat extremely well. The handle will become hot during use. Please be careful and use oven mitts and trivets.

Manufacturer address: UNICOBRES GmbH & Co.KG, Hersfelder Strasse 16, 36132 Eiterfeld, Germany, Email: info@destillatio.com

Why tinned copper? Copper offers the best thermal conductivity. Using an aluminum or steel core or coating would lose this advantage. Tinning is 100% safe, as the body simply excretes tin. Thermal conductivity remains intact. Additionally, tin in combination with a little oil provides excellent non-stick properties. You will love it. If the tin coating becomes unsightly or scratched one day, it can be re-tinned at any time, keeping the pan usable for a lifetime. Quality for centuries.

Healthy Cooking in the Copper Pan

Our tip for a healthy lifestyle, long-lasting copper cookware, and fun in the kitchen: use only good oils and add some at the very beginning to your pan. A copper pan should never be heated empty.

Important to know: At 232u00b0C (450u00b0F) the tin coating could start to melt. At 250u00b0C (482u00b0F) the copper itself may warp.

A normal stovetop can reach 400u00b0C (752u00b0F), a glass-ceramic cooktop 600u00b0C (1112u00b0F), and a gas flame or open fire can exceed 1,000u00b0C (1832u00b0F)!

No need to worry! During normal cooking, frying, and baking, you will never reach these temperatures.

Pay attention to the smoke point. Itu2019s simple: if the oil smokes, itu2019s too hot! You will harm your health long before the pan suffers any damage.

Above 175u00b0C (347u00b0F) frying becomes unhealthy! Acrylamide forms. Even high-smoke-point oils will burn by 200u00b0C (392u00b0F) at the latest. One exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures over 230u00b0C (446u00b0F).

Add your food to the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You donu2019t need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden spoon and place the end into the hot oil. If fine air bubbles rise from the spoon handle, the oil is hot enough for frying. If it starts to smoke, itu2019s far too hot.

What if it happens anyway! If you accidentally heat your copper pan above 232u00b0C (450u00b0F), the tin may melt. This is 100% harmless even if it gets into the food. Your body will simply excrete it. If necessary, the pan can be re-tinned.

If your copper pan is exposed to temperatures above 250u00b0C (482u00b0F), it may warp. This is usually not a problem, but on an electric stove, heat transfer could be slightly affected due to a warped bottom.

Another important note: Copper transfers heat very quickly, including to the handles! Always use a pot holder or cloth when touching the pan.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking tool. With a little care, it will bring you joy and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish these marks of life away, but we recommend letting the pan age gracefully.

Tin can dull over time. The original silvery shine may turn into a matte gray. If you wish, it can be re-tinned at any time. For a pan of this size, this costs around u20ac30, but itu2019s not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn or scratched.
