"CopperGarden®" 20 cm Copper Pan with Brass Handle

This wonderful copper pan is suitable for all types of stovetops (except induction), as well as for all foods and cooking methods. Thanks to the food-safe non-stick coating made of pure tin, you can safely cook with lemon or other acidic ingredients while the copper’s incredible heat conductivity is fully preserved. The tin coating protects the copper and can be easily re-tinned whenever needed. A copper pan is a lifelong investment, and soon you’ll want to cook with nothing else.

In professional kitchens, copper remains the best material because it transfers temperature changes from the stove immediately to the food. As a cook, you can quickly adjust the temperature as needed, even lower, since copper cools down immediately once removed from the heat. The pan is extremely durable and can handle the dishwasher just as well as high-heat searing, oven baking, grilling, or cooking over an open fire. This pan is perfect not only for home kitchens but also for motorhomes or outdoor camping kitchens.

These copper pans are built to last, almost like from another era! A sustainable, lifelong investment!

TIP: Buy the 20 cm CopperGarden Pot as well! The lid fits this pan perfectly!

However, you should be aware that copper conducts heat extremely well. The handle becomes hot during use. Please be careful and use oven mitts and trivets.

Manufacturer Address: UNICOBRES GmbH & Co.KG, Hersfelder Strasse 16, 36132 Eiterfeld, Germany, Email: info@destillatio.com

Why tinned copper? Copper provides the best thermal conductivity. Using a core or coating of aluminum or steel would compromise this advantage. Tinning is 100% safe, as the body simply excretes tin. Thermal conductivity remains intact. Additionally, tin in combination with a little oil offers excellent non-stick properties. You will love it. If the tin coating ever becomes scratched or unsightly, it can be re-tinned at any time, ensuring the pan remains usable for a lifetime. Quality that lasts for centuries.

Healthy Cooking in the Copper Pan

Our tip for a healthy life, long-lasting copper cookware, and fun in the kitchen: always use good-quality oil and add some at the beginning of cooking. A copper pan should never be heated empty.

Important to know: At 232u00b0C, the tin coating may start to melt. At 250u00b0C, the copper itself can warp.

A standard stovetop can reach 400u00b0C, a glass-ceramic cooktop 600u00b0C, and a gas flame or open fire over 1,000u00b0C!

Don't worry! During normal cooking, frying, and baking, you will never reach these temperatures.

Watch the smoke point. It's simple: if the oil starts smoking, itu2019s too hot! Your health will be at risk long before the pan is.

Frying or deep-frying above 175u00b0C becomes unhealthy due to the formation of acrylamide. Even high-heat oils will burn by 200u00b0C at the latest. Only artificially highly refined sunflower oils can tolerate temperatures above 230u00b0C.

Add your food before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan.

Another tip: You donu2019t need a thermometer to fry. Use a wooden spoon and dip the end into the hot oil. If small air bubbles form along the handle, the oil is hot enough for frying. If it starts smoking, itu2019s too hot.

What if it happens anyway? If you accidentally heat your copper pan above 232u00b0C, the tin may melt. This is completely harmless to health, even if it gets into your food, as the body will naturally excrete it. If necessary, the pan can be re-tinned.

If your pan is exposed to temperatures above 250u00b0C, it may warp. This is not a serious issue, but on an electric stove, the warped base may cause uneven heat transfer.

Another important note: Copper transfers heat very quickly, including to the handle! Always use a pot holder or cloth when touching the handle.

This copper pan is a high-quality cooking tool. With a little care, it will bring you joy for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish these signs of life away, but we recommend letting the pan age gracefully.

Tin may dull over time. The original silver shine turns into a matte gray. You can have it re-tinned at any time, which for a pan of this size costs around u20ac30, but it is not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn or scratched.
