"Vaello" XL Plancha | Grill plate 27x48 cm
This large and wonderfully versatile grill plate / plancha made from heavy cast iron should not be missing from any kitchen. You can use the plate on both sides. The grill side features an integrated grill grate so that fat from meat and fish can drain away more effectively and the contact surface when grilling vegetables is reduced. This effectively prevents burning and creates the typical delicious browned grill marks.
The reverse side of the grill plate offers a flat “plancha” surface and is perfect for quick frying. In Spain, all kinds of delicious tapas, grilled vegetables, fish, prawns, or small pieces of meat are prepared on it. Whatever you can imagine – with this grill plate you can bring it to life in no time.
You can use the grill plate for “smokeless” grilling on an outdoor barbecue, but thanks to its excellent heat conductivity you can also use it directly on a gas or electric stove and grill indoors in the kitchen. Once the plate has been properly heated, the cast iron stores the heat for a long time. You can then place the hot plate directly on the table and grill vegetables, fish, or small pieces of meat right at the table, similar to a raclette grill.
