Do you have any questions?

XL Baumalu copper frying pan with 32 cm diameter

With this large and extremely robust copper frying pan, you will quickly find yourself cooking better than ever before and creating masterful dishes after only a short period of use. This pan is simply outstanding and suitable for all dishes and cooking methods in the kitchen. You can sear at high heat and simmer gently, even gratinate dishes, on virtually any type of heat source (except induction). We recommend gas. You will benefit from the excellent heat conductivity on all electric cooktops, on the grill, and even over an open fire. This pan can handle it.

Thanks to the food-safe coating made from 100% pure tin, the heat conductivity is fully preserved and the copper remains permanently protected. Tin is a completely harmless metal from a health perspective and naturally provides excellent non-stick properties. Nothing sticks. If the coating should ever become scratched, the pan can be re-tinned at any time at low cost. A copper frying pan is a sustainable investment for life. Soon you may not want to cook with anything else—just like us.

Copper remains one of the best materials for cooking because it transfers temperature changes from the heat source immediately to the food. You can adjust the temperature instantly as needed. This makes cooking a pleasure and allows even more challenging dishes to succeed more easily. Copper is also so beautiful that you can serve directly in the pan. The eye enjoys the meal as well, and a copper frying pan enhances every dish. Try it—you won’t regret it. We love copper.

However, please note that copper provides extremely high heat conductivity. The iron handle may become hot during use. Please exercise caution and use pot holders and trivets.

Manufacturer address: BAUMALU SA, 67600 BALDENHEIM, 20 Route de Schwobsheim, France, E-Mail: info@baumalu.fr

Why tinned copper? Copper offers the best heat conductivity. With a core or coating made of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. The tin lining is 100% safe, as the body simply eliminates tin naturally. At the same time, the excellent heat conductivity remains. In addition, tin, combined with a small amount of oil, provides outstanding non-stick properties. You will love it. If the tin lining should one day become worn or scratched, it can be re-tinned at any time. This ensures the pan remains usable for a lifetime. Quality built to last for generations.

Healthy frying with the copper pan

Our tip for a healthy life, long-lasting copper cookware, and enjoyment in the kitchen: use only high-quality oils and add a small amount to your pan right from the beginning. A copper pan should never be heated empty.

Important to know: From 232 degrees, the tin lining may begin to melt. From 250 degrees, the copper may start to warp.

A standard stovetop can reach 400u00b0, a glass-ceramic cooktop up to 600u00b0, and a gas flame or open fire can exceed 1,000u00b0!

Donu2019t worry! During normal cooking, frying, and baking, you will not reach these temperatures.

Pay attention to the smoke point. Itu2019s simple: when the oil starts to smoke, it is too hot! You will harm your health long before a copper pan is damaged.

From 175u00b0, frying and deep-frying become unhealthy in any pan! Acrolein begins to form. Even high-heat oils burn at temperatures above 200u00b0. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures above 230 degrees.

Add your food to the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank youu2014and so will your pan!

Another tip: You donu2019t need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden spoon and briefly dip the end into the hot oil. If fine air bubbles rise from the handle of the spoon, the pan and oil are hot enough for frying. If it starts to smoke, it is too hot.

What if it still happens? If you accidentally heat your pan above 232u00b0, the tin lining may melt. This is 100% harmless to health even if it comes into contact with foodu2014your body will simply eliminate it. If necessary, the pan can be re-tinned.

If you expose your pan to temperatures above 250 degrees, it may warp. This is not a major problem, but when frying on an electric cooktop, a warped base may reduce heat transfer efficiency.

One more important note: Copper transfers heat very quickly, including to the iron handle! Please always use pot holders or a cloth when handling the pan on the stove.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking tool. With a little care, it will quickly bring you great enjoyment and serve you for a lifetime.
