OJ: Copper Weeding Knife RAROG
Sharp-edged digging knife for cutting and levering out roots, stems, and anything else above and below the soil. Also ideal as a harvesting aid for carrots and other underground-growing plants. The RAROG is made from a virtually indestructible copper alloy in a quality that is rarely found today. RAROG penetrates the soil smoothly and effortlessly, reliably cutting through every root in your garden bed. An excellent and highly durable tool that you will certainly enjoy working with.
We deliver your handcrafted RAROG quickly and securely packaged, so you can start enjoying your RAROG just a few days after placing your order. Your RAROG garden knife comes with a finely shaped handle made of untreated beechwood. We recommend treating it with a good wood or food-safe oil before first use and repeating this process once a year.
Note on the material: The copper alloy used for OJ garden tools contains up to 6% tin and is additionally cold-hammered to achieve the necessary hardness. Copper combined with tin creates the harder bronze. Copper is a flexible metal and will not break even under heavy use. If anything bends during work, you can easily bend it back into shape or gently hammer it straight. Over time, the metal will first become more reddish—copper-colored—and may later develop a dark brown patina depending on use. This patina protects the copper from oxidation and is perfectly fine to leave as it is.
