"CopperGarden®" 24 cm Copper Pan with Handle
This wonderful copper pan is suitable for all types of cooktops (except induction), as well as for all foods and cooking methods. Thanks to the food-safe non-stick coating made of pure tin, you can safely cook with lemon or other acids while the incredible thermal conductivity of copper is fully preserved. The tin lining protects the copper and can be affordably re-tinned at any time if needed.
A copper pan is an investment for life, and you will surely soon want to fry with nothing else. In professional kitchens, copper is still considered the best material, as it instantly transfers temperature changes from the cooktop to the food. As a cook, you can regulate the temperature extremely quickly as needed, even downward, because copper also cools down immediately when removed from the heat.
The pan is extremely robust and can handle the dishwasher as well as high-heat searing, baking in the oven, or cooking on the grill or over a campfire. This makes the pan ideal not only for home use, but also especially well-suited for motorhomes or camping kitchens. These copper pans come in an indestructible quality, almost as if from another era! A sustainable investment for a lifetime!
TIP: Buy the 24 cm CopperGarden pot at the same time! The lid also fits the pan!

Healthy Cooking in a Copper Pan

Our tip for a healthy life, long-lasting copper cookware, and fun in the kitchen: always use good oils and add some at the very beginning when heating your pan. A copper pan should never be heated empty.

Important to know: At 232u00b0C, the tin coating may start to melt. Above 250u00b0C, the copper itself may warp.

A regular stovetop can reach 400u00b0C, a glass-ceramic cooktop 600u00b0C, and a gas flame or open fire can exceed 1,000u00b0C!

No worries! When cooking, frying, or baking normally, you will never reach these temperatures.

Watch the smoke point. Itu2019s simple: if the oil smokes, itu2019s too hot! Your health will be affected long before your copper pan suffers any damage.

Above 175u00b0C, frying and deep-frying become unhealthy! Acrylamide forms. Even high-smoke-point oils burn by around 200u00b0C. Only artificially highly refined sunflower oils can tolerate extreme temperatures above 230u00b0C.

Add your food to the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You donu2019t need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden spoon and hold the end in the hot oil. If fine bubbles form along the spoon handle, the oil is hot enough for frying. If it starts to smoke, itu2019s far too hot.

What if it happens! If you accidentally heat your copper pot above 232u00b0C, the tin may melt. This is 100% harmless even if it gets into your food. Your body will simply excrete it. If necessary, the pan can be re-tinned.

If your pan is exposed to temperatures above 250u00b0C, it may warp. Usually not a problem, but on an electric stove, a warped bottom could reduce heat transfer efficiency.

Another important note: Copper transfers heat very quickly u2013 even to the handle! Always use a pot holder or cloth when touching the handle.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking tool. With a little care, it will bring you joy and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish these marks away, but we recommend allowing the pan to age naturally with dignity.

Tin may dull with use. The original silvery shine turns into a matte gray. If desired, you can have the pan re-tinned at any time. For a pan of this size, it costs around u20ac30, but it is unnecessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn or scratched.
