"CopperGarden®" Copper Pan (24 cm) with Handles and Lid
This copper pan, thanks to its food-safe tin lining, is suitable for all types of preparation and foods. A wonderful pan for cooking on gas and open fire, but also on standard electric plates and ceramic cooktops. Try it out. You will quickly love this pan and will not want to use any other material. When frying, the exceptional heat conductivity of real copper shows its full advantage.
The tin lining protects the copper as well as your health. In professional cuisine, copper is still considered the best material for proper cooking because it transfers temperature changes from the cooktop immediately and without delay to the food. Pans with aluminum or stainless-steel cores prevent this rapid response.
This pan comes in an indestructible quality reminiscent of cookware from another era and will surely accompany you for a lifetime. Should the tin lining ever become scratched, the pan can be re-tinned. This makes the pan a highly sustainable investment for anyone who does not want to keep replacing cookware. A pan for life.
We can confidently recommend this pan based on our own experience.

However, you should be aware that copper has extremely high thermal conductivity. The handle becomes hot during use. Please be careful and use oven mitts and trivets.

Manufacturer address: UNICOBRES GmbH & Co.KG, Hersfelder Strasse 16, 36132 Eiterfeld, Germany, E-Mail: info@destillatio.com

Why tinned copper? Copper offers the best thermal conductivity. With a core or coating made of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. The tin lining is 100% safe, as the body naturally eliminates tin. At the same time, the excellent thermal conductivity remains unchanged. In addition, tin, combined with a little oil, provides excellent non-stick properties. You will love it. If the tin lining becomes dull or scratched over time, it can be re-tinned at any time. This ensures the pan remains usable for a lifetime. Quality for generations.

Healthy Frying in a Copper Pan

Our tip for a healthy life, long-lasting copper cookware and more fun in the kitchen: use only good-quality oils and add a little right at the beginning to your pan. A copper pan should never be heated empty.

Important to know: From 232 degrees Celsius, the tin lining could melt. From 250 degrees Celsius, the copper may start to warp.

A standard stovetop can reach 400u00b0C, a ceramic glass cooktop up to 600u00b0C, and a gas flame or open fire can exceed 1,000u00b0C!

Don't worry! During normal cooking, frying, and baking, you will never reach these temperatures.

Pay attention to the smoke point. Itu2019s simple: when the oil starts to smoke, it is too hot! You harm your health long before any copper pot or pan is damaged.

From 175u00b0C onward, frying and deep-frying become unhealthy! Acrylin forms. Even high-heat oils burn at temperatures above 200u00b0C at the latest. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures above 230u00b0C.

Add your food to the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You donu2019t need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden spoon and hold the end into the hot oil. If small bubbles rise from the wooden handle, the oil is hot enough for frying or deep-frying. If it starts to smoke, it is far too hot.

What if it still happens? If you accidentally heat your copper pot above 232u00b0C, the tin lining may melt. This is 100% harmless to your health, even if it comes into contact with food. Your body will simply excrete it. If necessary, the pot can be re-tinned.

If you expose your pan to temperatures above 250u00b0C, it may warp. This is usually not a major issue, but when cooking on an electric stovetop, a warped base may reduce heat transfer efficiency.

One more important note: Copper transfers heat very quicklyu2014including to the handle! Please use oven mitts or a cloth when touching the handle.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking tool. With a little care, it will give you great pleasure and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color over time with use. You can polish away these marks of life if you wish, but we recommend leaving them and allowing the pan to age gracefully.

Tin may become dull with use. The original silvery shine will change to a matte gray. If desired, the pan can be re-tinned at any time. For a pan of this size, this usually costs around 30 euros, but it is not necessary unless the coating becomes heavily worn or scratched.
