"CopperGarden®" 30 cm Fish Pan with Handles
This highly versatile oval copper pan is sure to bring you great joy in the kitchen. Thanks to the exceptional thermal conductivity of copper, you can fry, braise, simmer, and gently cook better than with almost any other pan. For good reason, copper is the preferred material in fine dining establishments as well as in traditional cooking.
Thanks to its oval shape, this pan is perfect for preparing fish and, for example, allows you to fry two trout at the same time. The pan can be used on any type of cooktop (except induction) and, thanks to its robust quality, is also ideal for use on the grill, over an open fire, or in the oven.
Because this copper pan is also exceptionally decorative and elegant, you can bring your dishes directly to the table and present them beautifully. We eat with our eyes first, and your guests will be delighted. Of course, you can also prepare many other dishes in this pan. Due to its oval shape, it is especially suitable for gently sautéed asparagus, black salsify, or carrots. It also excels when preparing roasted dishes, rice specialties such as paella or risotto, vegetable dishes, and baked oven recipes. You will love it.
Cooking with copper is truly a pleasure. Thanks to the food-safe non-stick lining made from pure tin, you can prepare all kinds of foods while retaining the extraordinary thermal conductivity of copper. Copper is, by the way, the metal of love and can always be polished, repaired, or re-tinned with a little care. A valuable investment for a lifetime, handcrafted in a sustainable European manufactory.
Note: Copper responds to temperature changes significantly faster than almost any other cookware material. Heat is distributed especially evenly right up to the edge of the pan. This creates beautiful roasting aromas while allowing delicate foods to be cooked with exceptional precision and control.

However, please note that copper offers extremely high thermal conductivity. The handles become hot during use. Please exercise caution and always use oven gloves and heat-resistant trivets.

Manufacturer address: UNICOBRES GmbH & Co. KG, Hersfelder Strasse 16, 36132 Eiterfeld, Germany, e-mail: info@destillatio.com

Why choose tinned copper? Copper offers the highest thermal conductivity available. When using a core or coating of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. The tin lining is 100% safe because the human body naturally eliminates tin. At the same time, the outstanding thermal conductivity of copper is preserved. In addition, tin, combined with a little oil, provides excellent non-stick properties. You will love it. If the tin lining eventually becomes worn or scratched, it can easily be re-tinned. This makes the pan usable for a lifetime. Quality built to last for centuries.

Healthy Cooking in the Copper Pan

Our tip for a healthy life, long-lasting copper cookware, and fun in the kitchen: only use good oils and add some right at the beginning to your pan. A copper pan should not be heated empty.

Important to Know: At around 232 degrees Celsius, the tin coating may start to melt. At 250 degrees Celsius, the copper can warp.

A normal stovetop can reach temperatures of 400u00b0, a glass-ceramic cooktop can reach 600u00b0, and a gas flame or fire can exceed 1,000u00b0!

Donu2019t be afraid! During normal cooking, frying, and baking, you will never reach these temperatures.

Watch for the Smoke Point. Itu2019s simple: if the oil is smoking, itu2019s too hot! You can harm your health long before the pan suffers any damage.

At 175u00b0, frying and deep-frying become unhealthy! Acrylamide forms. Even high-temperature oils can burn by around 200 degrees. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures over 230 degrees.

Add your food to the pan before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You don't need a thermometer for frying. Use a wooden cooking spoon and hold the end in the hot oil. If fine air bubbles come from the handle, the oil is hot enough for frying and sautu00e9ing. If it starts to smoke, itu2019s way too hot.

What if it happens? If you accidentally heat your copper pan above 232u00b0, the tin may melt. It is 100% health-safe, even if it ends up in your food. Your body will simply excrete it. If necessary, the pan can be re-tinned.

If you expose your copper pan to temperatures above 250 degrees, it may warp. This is usually not a problem, but when cooking on an electric cooktop, the warped bottom may cause heat transfer losses.

Another important note: Copper transmits all temperatures very quickly u2013 including to the handles! Please use an oven mitt or cloth when handling the pan.

This copper pan is a very high-quality cooking device. With a little love, it will quickly bring you joy and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish away these marks of life, but we recommend against it and suggest letting the pan age gracefully.

Tin can become dull with use. The original silver shine transitions to a matte gray. You can re-tin it at any time if you wish. This will cost around 30 euros for a pan of this size, but itu2019s not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn or scratched.
