"CopperGarden®" 50 grams of copper wool
50 grams of finest copper wool made from pure copper threads. The 50-gram quantity is generously sized as filling material for high-proof distillation in most 0.5-liter stills as well as most 2-liter models such as the Arabia still. If you fill the vapor chamber of a still with this fine copper mesh, you achieve a purification effect in your distillate. Thanks to the catalytic effect of copper, sulfur compounds are bound, resulting in a milder and noticeably smoother aroma. In addition, you can distill at a higher proof because the rectification effect (similar to Raschig rings) is enhanced.
The copper mesh is also suitable for use with homemade stills made from ceramic or stainless steel, as well as laboratory glassware. During alcohol distillation, the vapor should always pass through copper. With copper wool as a catalyst, sulfurous by-products can be bound in any still. Hydrolates and essential oils also benefit from the catalytic properties of copper.
For "Arabia" or "EasyMoonshine" stills, one or two packs are sufficient. For filling a 2-liter column still, we recommend 4 to 10 packs depending on the desired effect. Please note our quantity discounts. You receive an approximately 12 cm wide and 35 cm long folded strand cut from the roll, which can be bent and compressed as needed to fit your still.
Note: Of course, you can also use this fine copper wool for many other purposes, for example for cleaning coated pots and pans or your aluminum rims, etc.
