„CopperGarden®“ ARABIA WORRY-FREE – the complete package
The ARABIA already works reliably and simply in its standard configuration. With this Worry-Free package, we go a significant step further: you receive not only the still itself, but a complete set of equipment put together based on our everyday experience.
A distillation thermometer, electric hot plate, spirit burner, cooling water pump, water reservoir and suitable hoses are already included. In addition, you get measuring cylinders, a cooling water thermometer, cleaning brush, shut-off valve, copper mesh, sealing tape and even one liter of spirit. You don't have to search for anything separately and can concentrate on your first distillation as soon as everything is set up.
Electric or independent operation with spirit
You can heat the ARABIA either with the included Rommelsbacher RK 501 travel hot plate or with the spirit burner. The compact German-brand hot plate is rated at 500 watts, making it ideally suited to the ARABIA, and can be adjusted continuously.
The ARABIA stand used since 2018 is designed for both heating methods. The thick cork disc compensates for the difference in height between the hot plate and spirit burner while also protecting the surface underneath from heat. Naturally, both heat sources must never be used at the same time.
Complete cooling water circuit
The Worry-Free package includes a closed cooling water circuit with a Resun SP-500 submersible pump, a 10.5-liter water reservoir, suitable hoses and a shut-off valve. This allows the water to circulate through the coil condenser and then flow back into the reservoir.
The included floating thermometer helps you keep an eye on the temperature of the cooling water. If the water becomes too warm during a longer distillation, some of it can simply be replaced with fresh cold water.
Monitor the temperature and collect the results
The pre-installed Al-Ambik® distillation thermometer displays the temperature of the rising vapor. This allows you to monitor the progress of the distillation more closely. The thermometer measures the temperature but does not automatically regulate the heat output.
A 100 ml measuring cylinder made of AR laboratory glass is included for measuring small quantities of distillate. The additional cooling water thermometer is intended exclusively for the water reservoir.
For herbs, flowers and plant material
The copper aroma sieve separates the plant material from the water in the boiler. This makes the ARABIA particularly suitable for hydrosols, floral waters, fragrances, aromas and small quantities of essential oils.
The aroma chamber is smaller than that of a Leonardo or a larger column still. For standard hydrosol distillation, initial experiments and smaller quantities of plant material, however, it is more than sufficient. This compact design is precisely what makes the ARABIA uncomplicated, stable and easy to transport.
Useful extras from our experience
Depending on the application, two pieces of „CopperGarden®“ copper mesh can be used as filters, to protect against plant material or as a support inside the boiler. The test tube brush with a soft wool tip makes it easier to clean narrow components. PTFE sealing tape and various hose sizes help with setting up the cooling water circuit.
Handcrafted in Portugal
The copper ARABIA is carefully handcrafted at the „CopperGarden®“ manufactory in Portugal. It is made without lead and without animal-derived auxiliary materials. We use conflict-free copper and ship directly from the Rhön with carbon-neutralized shipping.
Small traces of handcrafting and slight variations are not defects, but typical characteristics of a genuine artisan-made product. Spare parts, repairs and personal advice are available from Destillatio for many years after your purchase.
Which ARABIA is right for you?
The basic ARABIA is our recommendation for budget-conscious beginners. The ARABIA PLUS adds the distillation thermometer. The PLUS ELEKTRO also includes the electric hot plate. The ARABIA WORRY-FREE package is the right choice if you want to have the complete cooling water circuit as well as measuring, cleaning and consumable accessories included.
