The CopperGarden® ESSENCE Column Still is one of our most popular stills for producing homemade hydrolates and essential oils on a hobby scale. With the practical "Worry-Free" Complete Package, you receive not only the original CopperGarden® 2-liter ESSENCE still, but also all the essential accessories needed for an easy and safe start. This allows you to begin your new distillation hobby right away without having to spend time searching for individual components.
Note: This still is manufactured with great care and experience in a European workshop. It is 100% lead-free, vegan, and combines traditional copper distillation with modern sustainability and genuine EU brand quality.
The CopperGarden® ESSENCE – for Hydrolates and Essential Oils
With the CopperGarden® ESSENCE, you bring home a high-quality copper still specifically designed for the gentle steam distillation of plant material. This makes it ideal for lavender, rosemary, peppermint, lemon balm, sage, thyme, chamomile, rose petals, spruce needles, and many other aromatic herbs and flowers.
The key advantage of this column still is its separate botanical column. Your herbs are not placed directly in boiling water but are evenly permeated by rising steam. This allows delicate fragrances, plant aromas, and valuable natural compounds to be extracted particularly gently. If desired, you can also remove the column and distill roses or other delicate floral hydrolates directly from the boiler.
The result is your own hydrolates, floral waters, and—depending on the plant material, harvest time, and distillation process—even small quantities of essential oils. <h2>Distilling with stills up to 2 liters capacity does not require registration!</h2> <p>Thanks to the new German Alcohol Tax Act (in force since January 1, 2018), we are permitted to sell this still to you freely and without any bureaucratic requirements, and to ship it to all countries within the EU as well as most other countries around the world.</p> <p><strong>Important to know:</strong> We must point out that you are not permitted to distill alcohol in Germany or Switzerland. This still may be used without registration for the distillation of water, hydrolates, flavorings, natural remedies, cosmetics, essential oils, non-alcoholic beverages, and similar products. If you wish to legally distill alcohol in Germany or Switzerland, you will need a commercial distilling license.</p> <p>In Austria, you may also use this still for flavoring and spirit production using purchased (tax-paid) alcohol together with various flavoring ingredients, allowing you to legally distill products such as gin. However, distilling alcohol directly from fermented mash is prohibited in Austria as well.</p> <p>Please observe the laws of your country.
