"CopperGarden®" 3 litre copper kettle / witches’ cauldron
This traditional copper kettle made from polished copper is a beautiful all-rounder for lovers of genuine copperware, rustic fire cooking, and traditional food preparation. With its classic witches’ cauldron design, sturdy iron handle, and warm copper shine, it looks almost as if it came straight from an old alchemist’s workshop or a historic country kitchen.
This handy copper kettle is especially popular for making jam, jelly, or preserving fruit. Bare copper offers outstanding thermal properties and distributes heat extremely evenly. That is exactly why copper kettles have been preferred for centuries for jams, desserts, sugar work such as candied almonds, and as traditional brewing, dyeing, and alpine dairy kettles. Even today, many gourmets and artisan producers still swear by copper because delicate foods can be prepared especially gently in it.
The direct and rapid heat transfer allows for very precise temperature control, which is a major advantage for delicate recipes.
This kettle is made from pure copper and is not coated. It is therefore ideally suited for traditional applications and as a genuine witches’ cauldron for brewing and simmering. For everyday cooking of hearty dishes or acidic foods, we recommend our hand-tinned copper kettles instead. Copper is the metal of love, while a lining of 100% pure tin transforms the kettle into a universally practical pot for daily kitchen use.
This original uncoated copper kettle is also perfect as decoration, for campfires, camping, or as an extraordinary gift. Especially in rustic kitchens, witches’ kitchens, outdoor garden kitchens, or at historical events, genuine copper shine immediately attracts attention. You will love it.
Note: Please note that the product images may sometimes show other sizes or versions.
Note: This copper kettle is intentionally supplied in bare, uncoated copper and is therefore especially suitable for jam, jelly, sugar work, or mustard making. For everyday cooking of regular dishes, we recommend the hand-tinned copper kettles, as they are easier to maintain and more versatile for daily kitchen use.

Important information about copper

This copper kettle has been hand-forged for you from polished copper and fitted with a sturdy wrought-iron suspension.

The kettle comes with a flat base and can also be used on an electric hob. If you cook electrically with this kettle, please take care not to overheat the copper.

Copper begins to react at temperatures above 250u00b0C. At this point, the base may warp slightly and lose contact with the cooking plate.

If you cook with gas, over an open fire, or directly in glowing embers, you can heat the kettle much more intensely. Copper remains stable up to approximately 1,000u00b0C. Nevertheless, we recommend never heating the kettle while empty and always adding oil or water in good time.

Due to the properties of polished copper, you can perfectly prepare foods such as jam, cheese, or candied almonds, but you should not leave cooked food standing in the kettle for extended periods.

If you would also like to serve food directly in the kettle or use it for all foods like a normal cooking pot, we recommend choosing the tinned version. Tin is heat-resistant up to 232u00b0C and protects both the copper and your food.
