Please note, however: copper offers extremely high thermal conductivity. The kettle becomes hot during use. Please be careful and use pot holders and trivets.

Manufacturer address: UNICOBRES GmbH & Co. KG, Hersfelder Strasse 16, 36132 Eiterfeld, Germany, Email: info@unicobres.com

Why tinned copper? Copper offers the best thermal conductivity. With a core or coating of aluminum or steel, this advantage is lost. Tin lining is 100% safe, as the body simply excretes tin. At the same time, the excellent heat conductivity is retained. In addition, tin combined with a little oil provides outstanding non-stick properties. You will love it. If the tin lining ever becomes unattractive or scratched, it can be re-tinned at any time. This keeps the pan usable for a lifetime. Quality for centuries.

Healthy Cooking in a Copper Pot

Our tip for a healthy life, durable copper pots, and fun in the kitchen: use only good oils and add a little to your pan right from the start. A copper pot should not be heated empty.

Important to know: At 232 degrees Celsius, the tin coating could melt. At 250 degrees Celsius, the copper can warp.

A normal stovetop can reach 400u00b0C, a ceramic glass cooktop can reach 600u00b0C, and a gas flame or fire can reach over 1,000u00b0C!

No need to worry! During normal cooking, frying, and baking, you will never reach these temperatures.

Pay attention to the smoke point. It's simple: if the oil starts to smoke, it's too hot! You are damaging your health long before the copper pot suffers.

At 175u00b0C, frying and deep frying become unhealthy! Acrylamide forms. Even high-heat oils burn by 200u00b0C at the latest. There is only one exception: artificially highly refined sunflower oils can withstand extreme temperatures above 230u00b0C.

Add your food to the pot before the oil burns! Your health will thank you, and so will your pan!

Another tip: You don't need a thermometer to fry. Use a wooden spoon and place the end in the hot oil. If fine air bubbles come out of the spoon handle, the oil is hot enough for frying. If it starts to smoke, it's much too hot.

What if it does happen! If you accidentally heat your copper pot above 232u00b0C, the tin could melt. It is 100% safe for your health, even if it ends up in the food. Your body will simply eliminate it. If necessary, the pot can be re-tinned.

If you expose your copper pot to temperatures above 250u00b0C, it may warp. Actually, not a problem, but when cooking on an electric stovetop, there may be heat transfer loss due to the warped base.

One more important thing: Copper transmits temperatures very quickly, including to the handle! Please use a potholder or cloth when touching the pot.

This copper pot is a very high-quality cooking device. With a little love, this wonderful copper kettle will quickly bring you joy and accompany you for a lifetime.

Copper is a living metal and will change color with use. You can polish away these traces of life, but we recommend leaving them as they are and letting the pot mature with dignity.

Tin can dull through use. The original silver shine changes to a matte gray. You can retin it at any time if you wish. This will cost around 30 euros for a pot of this size but is not necessary as long as the coating is not heavily worn and scratched.
