"CopperGarden®" 2-Liter COLUMN STILL SIGNATURE
The best column still of all time! Since January 2018, you can purchase this amazing still without registration and use it to produce essential oils, distilled water, hydrosols, spagyric remedies, or for your secret alchemical experiments. In 2025, we worked with the manufactory to further improve it, providing you with a highly refined and extremely functional top-class still.
You will receive the new SIGNATURE model of the original column still from the "CopperGarden®" manufactory, featuring a heavy 2-liter boiler, an aroma column with just under 1 liter capacity, and a distillation head perfectly shaped by meticulous handcrafting. We also mount the "Al-Ambik®" distillation thermometer in the optimal position for you.
The still consists of the approx. 2-liter boiler, high-quality welded from three components, the column with a proud 1.2-liter volume and integrated aroma strainer. Included is the distillation head perfectly shaped for aroma distillation with a narrowing swan-neck rising tube and vapor pipe combination, as well as a condenser with a widened safety fitting, fine cooling spiral, and water inlet and outlet. The "Al-Ambik®" distillation thermometer, made in Germany, is already mounted in the head and shows temperatures accurately to the degree. You will love it.
What can you do with this 2-liter still? Here are five examples:
- Fill the column with pomace and the boiler with water. Heat it, and you will obtain excellent pomace brandy (Grappa).
- Fill the boiler with water and the column with plants of your choice to distill strong plant waters and valuable essential oils extracted by steam distillation.
- Fill the boiler with water and rose petals and distill without the column for a wonderful rose distillate (rose water).
- Ferment sugar with turbo yeast and fill the mash into the boiler. If you fill the column with Raschig rings, stainless steel plates, or glass, you distill high-proof neutral alcohol.
- Fill the boiler with alcohol and add raspberries to produce raspberry spirit. Juniper with other spices makes fine gin, anise makes ouzo, etc.

<h2>Stills with up to 2-Liter Boiler are Exempt from Registration!</h2> <p>Thanks to the new German Alcohol Tax Law (effective January 1, 2018), we are allowed to sell this still freely and without any bureaucracy, and to ship it to all EU countries as well as most other countries around the world.</p> <p><strong>Important to know:</strong> We must point out that you are not allowed to distill alcohol in Germany or Switzerland. The still may be used without registration for the distillation of water, hydrosols, flavors, natural remedies, cosmetics, essential oils, non-alcoholic beverages, etc. If you want to legally distill alcohol in Germany or Switzerland, you need a commercial distilling license.</p> <p>In Austria, you are allowed to use this still for flavoring and distilling spirits from purchased (taxed) alcohol with various flavor carriers, and for example, legally distill gin. Distilling alcohol from mash yourself is also prohibited in Austria.</p> <p>Please observe the laws in your home country. If you distill spirits at home with this still, you are considered an "illegal distiller" and could be fined for tax evasion based on the amount of alcohol tax owed.
