"CopperGarden®" copper still Alembic 10 L, welded & thermometer

   With this hard soldered (welded) version of the alembic still from the CopperGarden forge you can do nothing wrong. It is not for nothing that this durable and robust still is one of our bestsellers. The copper plating of the boiler bottom in the 10 liter, welded models is also reinforced and permanently welded to the side wall. A still with a welded boiler is, when handled carefully, an acquisition which will give great pleasure to you, and probably your grandchildren, for a long time. Problems with this model are unknown and we can recommend it with a clear conscience, even if you count among the “frequent distillers” and use the still daily.

   But at the same time some new improvements have been made based on experience. For example, the swan neck has been widened at the junction with the condenser and attached with an extra large brass screw so that no pressure can build up. The rather large worm condenser comes with a cool water intake at the bottom and a separate overflow pipe at the top, so it is possible to connect a real cool water circulation system and to ensure sufficient cooling for difficult or long-lasting distillation. The head is perfectly designed and allows the vapour to rise and transport a large amount of aroma out of the mash into the swan neck. The original Al-Ambik® distillation thermometer from a German manufacturer is a standard installation and shows the temperature to the degree exactly.

   We recommend this alembic still for all strongly flavored distillates from wine, beer or your own mash or steeped alcohol. You can also produce herbal distillates and various essential oils, as well as distilled water.

Distillation is strictly regulated or even forbidden in some countries. Please inform yourself and pay attention to the regulations in your country. We can ship worldwide, but we cannot check if you are allowed to own a still. Shipping within the EU is completely unrestricted (Germany, Austria and Switzerland excluded). For shipping to countries outside the EU we have to affix the invoice and shipping list to the outside of the package. Up to now we have never had problems with the importation of our stills into other countries.
