"Al-Ambik®" Alcoholmeter 0-100 Vol%

With this high-quality alcohol hydrometer, you can quickly measure the alcohol content in your homemade spirits or other water-alcohol mixtures. This extra-short alcoholmeter is especially suitable for measuring the alcohol content of your distillates during the distillation process, in the precursor of your still. However, you can also use it to control the alcohol content of your homemade spirits or the spirits in your home bar.

Technical knowledge: An aräometer measures the alcohol content of alcohol-water mixtures based on the specific gravity which can change with temperature. The recommended measurement temperature is 20°C. At this temperature, the alcoholmeter accurately indicates the alcohol content. For other temperatures, we recommend using an Al-Ambik® alcoholmeter with a built-in thermometer. You can conveniently read the corresponding percentages on the scale next to the thermometer and always obtain reliable measurement results.

Accessories such as a precursor or 100 ml measuring cylinder can be useful. The alcoholmeter should float in the alcohol for measuring the alcohol content.

Note: Please note that this alcohol hydrometer can only measure the alcohol content accurately in water-alcohol mixtures. For wine, you need a vinometer, for measuring a freshly prepared mash, you need an Öchsle scale or a (Klosterneuburger) must scale. For measuring sugar-based alcohols like liqueurs, you need a refractometer. Alcoholmeters are not suitable for liqueurs!

Note regarding the "Al-Ambiku00ae" alcohol meter:

Please note that this alcohol meter can only accurately measure the alcohol content in water-alcohol mixtures. For wine, you will need a vinometer, and for measuring a freshly prepared mash, an u00d6chsle scale or a (Klosterneuburger) must scale is required. It becomes challenging when measuring sugar-based alcohols such as liqueurs. We recommend calculating the alcohol content during liqueur production and saving on the expenses of a sample distillation column or a specialized refractometer.
